Construction of the avenue de l’Opéra: Butte des Moulins
Butte des Moulines was a small hill dotted with windmills. Until the mid-1870’s, Its working-class neighbourhood was reigned by small trades. It was later cleared and the heill was leveled to construct Avenue de L’Opéra.
